Bridging the gap between traditional and digital worlds with classic stamps

The first edition of the CSA is a modern interpretation of the 1851 Merkur newspaper stamps. The original series was produced in four color variants. Unfortunately, very few copies of the Red Mercury remain today, making it one of the rarest stamps in Europe and by far the most valuable stamp in Austria.

Encode Graphics, together with Ari Pratama and PR1MAL CYPHER, a renowned Austrian digital artist and NFT expert, have developed a new edition in 2022. A new special block of stamps with a face value of €3.70 was issued 150,000 times. It can be obtained at all post offices at online

CSA Mystery Boxes will be available exclusively on 500 euros per box from 22 July. You do not need to be a blockchain expert to participate in the drop. Tokapi makes it easy to use your credit card or make an instant transfer and doesn’t require you to create a cryptocurrency wallet.

Cryptocurrency art is just the beginning

This edition marks the start of the newly developed art project Crypto Stamp. It forms a digital collectible with a physical counterpart, but the focus is on collecting digital art and collaborating with the greats of the NFT scene.

The Austrian Post is betting on new interpretations and has already been able to attract other world-famous artists who will realize future editions of crypto-stamps.

In support of the upcoming launch, Patricia Liebermann, Head of Philately at Austrian Post AG, states: “There has been a generational change in collecting. Young people are using NFTs to make digital collectibles truly valuable and unique. This is a great opportunity for us to bridge the gap between physical and digital collecting with cryptographic art that speaks to all generations.”

Daniel Lenikus, CEO of Tokapi, commented on the partnership with the Austrian Post:

“Blockchain is changing the world even faster than the Internet and usually makes it much more difficult. We remove these barriers. NFTs should be an inclusive technology for everyone, not just a select few with extensive blockchain knowledge. At Tokapi, we provide the easiest way for collectors to buy digital assets and in doing so, help attract a new wave of collectors.”
