Head of the Azuki community, Dem, said On January 27, attackers hacked the official bluechip NFT project handle on Twitter.

Several project officials confirmed that the Twitter account had been hacked and urged the community not to click on any links. Community Manager Rosa tweeted that Azuka’s biography on Twitter still had a fake website at press time.

Accessible information on the social media platform showed that the hackers posted two tweets with malicious links promoting a fake virtual mint.

Several blockchain security firms such as Wallet Guard and cryptocurrency wallets such as MetaMask and Phantom Wallet. blocked access of their users to a phishing link.

Block Research Director Steven Zheng tweeted that the wallets associated with the hacker did not contain any stolen Azuki. Etherscan Data shows that at the time of publication there was 214 ETH ($343,000) in one of the wallets.

Earlier this week, Robinhood confirmed that several of its social media accounts were being used to promote an unrelated crypto token. In addition, Moonbirds founder Kevin Rose lost millions of NFTs due to hackers who emptied his wallet.
