The list compiles the most daring heroes and dastardly villains of 2022 who are expected to impact the crypto space in 2023. , and so far includes names like Keith Grossman, president of enterprises at Moonpay, who is ranked No. 89; hacking group Lazarus Group as the villain at number 79; and Adam Back, co-founder and CEO of Blockstream, at No. 72 — among others.

The 41-50 rankings went public on February 15, featuring another batch of the industry’s leading drivers. Miami Mayor Francis Suarez grabbed No. 47, while Gemini’s twin co-founders – Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss – dropped to No. 45. Caitlin Long, CEO of Custodia Bank, took the No. 41 spot.
On 16 February, profiles 31–40 were released. At number 40, Kris Marszalek, Co-Founder and CEO of Crypto.com completes this batch of top crypto industry players. Crypto.com had an eventful year, including a Shopify partnership, though it also struggled during the bear market, moving to cut its workforce. Marszalek is ranked No. 12 on Cointelegraph’s Top 100 list for 2022, a significant jump from his No. 40 position in 2023.
Lightning Labs co-founder and CEO Elizabeth Stark books this batch of profiles at number 31. Lightning Labs oversees the Lightning Network, a bitcoin scaling solution that has had a solid year in terms of growth and usage. Unlike Marszalek, Starke has risen in rank, rising to No. 61 in the Top 100 for 2022. Other names in the round include Offchain Labs co-founder and CEO Steven Goldfeder, Telegram co-founder and CEO Pavel Durov, and others.
