Just a year and a half ago, Snoop Dogg and Eminem, both of whom are Dr. Dre’s protégés, had a feuding relationship. The legendary rappers now have a new music video featuring them as Bored Apes.

Eminem tweeted On June 24, the new song From The D 2 The LBC will be released. The post included a comic book-style cover of the song featuring two cartoon monkeys representing both Snoop Dogg and Slim Shady and their association with the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). He then quickly posted another tweet promoting the video.

The two hip hop legends have reunited to release a new music video for their fans. This time they introduced Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) built on the Ethereum blockchain.

The new music video titled “From The D 2 The LBC” features Eminem and Snoop Dogg as animated monkeys. It was produced by 1st AMENDMENT and Young California in collaboration with BAYC.

In the song, the two of them shout out their hometowns, Detroit and Long Beach, in the chorus:

“Raise your joints high, if you live in 213, let’s watch them raise their joints / Whether you’re on the east or west side of 313, let’s watch them blaze.”

The video then cuts to Em and Snoop as they perform their verses, transforming into Bored Ape-style animated avatars – the song was recently previewed live by the couple at Ape Fest 2022.

It should be noted that Eminem and Snoop are already familiar with the world of NFTs, they have delved into it before. As reported by Cryptooshala, Eminem, also known as Marshall Mathers III, bought an NFT on the OpenSea NFT marketplace for $462,000 and became a member of the Bored Ape Yacht Club.

In April, Snoop Dogg was announced as a major investor in MoonPay, a parking lot service and beyond, along with “industry VIPs” such as Justin Bieber, Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher. MoonPay also teamed up with Dogg’s Death Row Records to create an NFT marketplace.
