Empowering global blockchain adoption and the internet for the modern age

Blockchain technology has been around for over a decade and has changed many industries, from finance to supply chain management and digital identity. In the near future, it has the potential to revolutionize the way we live, work and transact. However, adoption is still far from the global scale envisioned by Web3 enthusiasts.

According to Dmitry Shklovsky, co-founder and co-director of QuickNode, blockchain has the potential to change the way people live, starting with their presence on the Internet. The decentralized internet is the next stage in the evolution of the digital world, and blockchain can make this a reality.

Q: How do you think blockchain technology will change the way we live, work and transact in the near future?

At the highest level, blockchain technology has the potential to change most of our daily processes and how we fundamentally interact with institutions and with each other. From DeFi to supply chain solutions, digital identity, and public ledger records, the use cases for blockchain are limitless – and we’ve only just begun to scratch the surface. Many people consider a crypto wallet to be “your passport to the Internet.” Looking ahead, we see that passports, licenses, car keys, voter registration, art collection, loans, documents, education certificates, and membership cards are all in one place—easily accessible, interoperable, and protected by cryptography.

Q: What are the main advantages of the decentralized internet over the centralized one?

The decentralized Internet reduces the number of intermediaries and enables direct peer-to-peer transactions, making it unreliable, secure, and more fair. The current centralized model is fragmented and full of institutional gatekeepers who monetize user information. The decentralized Internet returns ownership of content, identity, and data to users. The blockchain-enabled Internet is available worldwide and is transparent to anyone who wishes to participate.

Q: What are some of the biggest issues that you think are hindering global blockchain adoption right now?

Right now, there are still too many frictions in the blockchain adoption process related to scalability, security, and user-friendliness. However, our work since 2017 has resulted in new applications that make things easier and provide a better experience, bringing blockchain-enabled applications to millions of new users. When it comes to crypto, NFTs, and the mainstream media, there is also a huge PR issue. All cryptocurrencies are blockchain, but not all blockchains are cryptocurrencies. Our job as the leader of Web3 is to help highlight that difference and help change public opinion.

Q: QuickNode is a complete blockchain development platform. How does this help developers create the future of the blockchain-based Internet?

Quick knot gives blockchain developers everything they need to build and scale their projects right out of the box. We provide all the tools and resources developers need to create incredible products, backed by an unparalleled, globally balanced infrastructure, guaranteed reliability and security, a user-friendly interface, and comprehensive customer support. Essentially, QuickNode is a blockchain-powered utility company that builds roads and lays power lines to make the modern Internet easy to navigate. You don’t waste time wondering where the electricity and water come from when making coffee, just the delicious, invigorating end product. QuickNode continues to work while Web3 developers focus on creating beautiful products and user satisfaction.

Q: What do you think are the key elements needed to create a successful blockchain ecosystem?

A successful blockchain ecosystem will require easy entry, a committed developer community, innovative and utility-focused projects, a supportive regulatory environment, and a robust infrastructure. The blockchain-enabled internet is an improvement on the existing system, so we need to make sure all the building blocks are in place for longevity.

Q: How do you plan to promote blockchain education and awareness to a wider global audience?

We truly believe in empowering people who are creating the future of the Internet. QuickNode not only provides resources to blockchain developers, but is also home to some of the greatest minds in the blockchain space. Our team of blockchain experts have created hundreds of guides, documentation, videos and webinars. We also frequently attend global blockchain events and hacker houses to host workshops and share resources. Last year we even hosted our own community event in Miami – Nodevember – and we still have a lot of work to do this year with our recent Series B fundraiser.

Q: Can you discuss the role of smart contracts in enabling blockchain adoption and what are some of the current limitations?

Smart contracts play a critical role in enabling blockchain adoption by automating contract execution and reducing the need for intermediaries. Transactions on the decentralized web are based on the infrastructure of smart contracts. Current constraints include the need for more standardization and scalability. We also need to focus on making smart contracts more accessible to the average user.

Q: What’s next for QuickNode? Can you share your company’s plans for the near future and briefly brief readers on the QuickNode roadmap for 2023?

Expanding in all directions, doubling the success of our platform (speed, reliability, efficiency), listening to customers (new and old) about what problems they face and what pain points need to be solved next. We also plan to expand our educational resources and strive to empower developers through content (written, video, and personal). Finally, make blockchain data more accessible and easier to understand so that anyone can request data on the chain or create literally anything with said data. You suggest an idea, we provide the ingredients to help you put it together and bring it to life!

Blockchain technology has the potential to change the way people live, work and transact in the near future. From creating an unreliable, secure and fairer decentralized internet to automating the execution of contracts with smart contracts, the use cases for blockchain are endless. However, the challenges of global adoption, scalability, security, and user experience still remain, and it is critical to have a robust infrastructure, a committed developer community, and a supportive regulatory environment in order to build a successful blockchain ecosystem.

QuickNode is a prime example of a company that provides developers with the tools and resources to build innovative and utility-focused blockchain projects. More information about the company and its activities can be found on QuickNode Web site.
