ETH deposits and withdrawals available on Arbitrum! – Kraken Blog
We are thrilled to announce that Kraken now supports Ethereum (ETH) deposits and withdrawals on Arbitrum!
Arbitrum is a Layer 2 (L2) blockchain protocol built on top of the Ethereum blockchain that allows Ethereum transactions to be processed more efficiently.
As well as increasing the amount of transactions that can be processed by Ethereum, as well as the speed at which it can process them, Arbitrum has the added benefit of reducing transaction costs, known as gas fees. associated with using Ethereum and its various decentralized applications.
Arbitrum also allows developers to create and execute their own Ethereum-compatible smart contracts. These can be programmed to run decentralized applications that can interact with the wider Ethereum ecosystem without degrading the performance of the main blockchain.
Funding is already live. You can transfer Ethereum (ETH) to your Kraken account by navigating to Funding, selecting ETH and the desired deposit method (network) in the drop-down box: Arbitrum One Network.
Note: ETH deposits and withdrawals on Abitrum via the Kraken Pro App and the Kraken App will not be available at launch.
