Huobi, a cryptocurrency veteran with nearly a decade of experience, has created a new investment arm called Ivy Blocks that will focus on supporting the growing decentralized finance ecosystem and Web 3-based blockchain protocols.

  • Official Press release it says the new feature will “focus on identifying and investing in promising blockchain projects to help unleash their growth potential, driving innovation and development in the world of DeFi and Web 3.”
  • The company said that Ivy Blocks will manage over $1 billion worth of cryptocurrencies. It argued that this significant amount would allow the investment arm to be “well positioned to take advantage of unique opportunities” in the markets.
  • Ivy Blocks will evaluate projects on their ideas and provide them with the tools they need to succeed, PR said.
  • To do this, he will launch three main services called the Liquidity Investment Division, Ivy Labs and Ivy Research. The former will be an asset management platform for DeFi smart mining and revenue aggregation, the latter will be a crypto and blockchain incubator, and the latter will be a blockchain and crypto research arm.
  • Ivy Blocks will rely on all of this to “include liquidity investment, project acceleration support, technical guidance, professional mentoring” and more.

“Many promising projects tend to face liquidity constraints and a lack of go-to-market support, which poses significant barriers to growth. Our focus on providing such projects with liquidity investments and incubation services will undoubtedly contribute to building a better, more inclusive DeFi and Web 3 blockchain ecosystem.” Huobi CFO Lily Zhang commented.
