Kevin Rose, creator of the Moonbirds NFT collection confirmed cancellation of the “PROOF of Conference” event scheduled for May due to low interest of the participants.

PROOF of Conference is the flagship event organized by Moonbird for the owners of the PROOF NFT collection. The NFT event was scheduled to take place May 11-13 in Los Angeles.

However, due to recent market downturns and declining interest in NFT events, the team has decided to cancel PROOF of Conference.

THE PROOF NFT creator Kevin Rose explained that in the world of NFTs, timing is everything. However, given the current realities, the team concluded that now is not the right time for a conference.

Rosa said in open letter ticket buyers February 20:

“…After weeks of sales data, conversations with sponsors, and feedback from our community members, we were forced to admit that now is not the right time to realize this vision.”

Rose added that the team has fully refunded the funds (including ticket fees, hotel reservations and transaction fees) to the participants’ wallets.

Going forward, Rose said the team will focus on providing improved products and artwork for the Moonbirds and PROOF collective communities.

Of the 1,000 minted PROOF NFTs, about 928 were sold at a minimum price of 14.65 ETH. At press time, the collection has raised about 25,675 ETH in trading volume, according to OpenSea. data.
