According to Ronaldo, his partnership with Binance will “change the non-fungible token (NFT) game and take football to the next level.”

The famous Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo has announced his exclusive multi-year non-fungible token (NFT) partnership with cryptocurrency exchange Binance. Fans of the prolific soccer player will be able to “own an iconic piece of sports history” through the partnership, according to a statement released by the cryptocurrency exchange.
Followers of Ronaldo, also known as CR7, will also have the opportunity to join the 37-year-old’s Web3 community. AT video shared via the Binance handle on Twitter, Ronaldo, who holds the record for most goals scored (117) while playing for the national team, spoke about his decision to join forces with the cryptocurrency exchange.
“I am delighted to announce my partnership with Binance. Together we are going to change the NFT game and take football to the next level and this is just the beginning,” said Ronaldo, one of the highest paid athletes in the world.

Binance deal with Ronaldo, who, according to Forbes With over 690 million social media followers, this is another of the exchange’s efforts to attract football fans to NFT and Web3. Prior to partnering with CR7, Binance had previously attracted Andreas Iniesta, a Spanish football legend who, as of November 2021, had 25.2 million followers on Twitter and 38.1 million on Instagram.
However, after he tweeted about cryptocurrency trading with Binance, Spanish regulators warned Iniesta not to encourage his followers to invest in digital currencies.
