In addition, novice collectors will be able to make purchases using Apecoin in the amount equivalent to 100 US dollars. At press time, ApeCoin (APE) was trading at $4.39.

The partnership marks the second time Rolling Stone and BAYC have teamed up to release NFTS. In November 2021, they released two digital magazine covers together.

Media and Internet3

Earlier in January, Rolling Stone partnered with Coinbase to release an exclusive Super Bowl NFT. The fall marked Rolling Stone’s return to the Super Bowl and featured collaborations with 12 other artists.

However, Rolling Stone is one of several print publications that have entered the NFT market.

In March 2021, the New York Times put their column up for auction by NFT and sold it for $560,000. During the same period, Time magazine sold four NFTs of its digital magazine covers for a total of $446,000.

The Economist sold their magazine cover for $419,000 in October 2021. Fortune and Playboy magazines also added to the list of media houses that ventured into the NFT space.

BAYC hit the crypto winter

The extreme conditions of the cryptocurrency market have equally hit the NFT collection. A recent report revealed that the collection recorded a decline in its price after hitting a low of 72,503 ETH ($86,000) on June 13th.

However, the collection continues to be in first place.
