On February 1, Shredded Apes announced a hack to its main wallet containing royalties and its own token (WHEY).
A Shredded Apes official explained that all funds have been transferred to “EgnTKUUsN1nyq4ap7hK9VSqSettH6T4gvLvdj3spneCg“About 2-3 hours ago”, at that time.
“One of my team members just notified me that our LP is depleted. Our main wallet containing all of our royalties and $WHEY has been hacked.”
Approximately 78 million WHEY tokens were transferred to the Shredded Apes royalty wallet during the week of January 23rd during the token migration to Mintinglab V2.
According to the official Shredded Apes twitter, all 78 million tokens have been liquidated.
Investigation of violation
Shredded monkeys said that he is currently “working with several people to track down what caused this disruption.”
“No one on the team had access to our main wallet except @chube_sagc and me (@Pengucci_). This wallet has never approved any transactions other than Magic Eden, our own betting website and online store.”
Shredded Apes have told WHEY token holders — and recent WHEY buyers — not to buy or sell their holdings right now.
“We will take a snapshot of all wallets containing $WHEY shortly and provide an action plan.”
