“Solana has the potential to revolutionize a lot of what we do every day, but we need to open up opportunities for decentralized applications on our mobile devices to realize this potential.”

Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange platform and sponsor of Solana, said that the cryptocurrency phone industry is far behind despite the fact that “everything is going mobile,” so the best solution to keep up in this technological age is “it’s having a real wallet built into your phone.” Something only Solana seems to be working on.

Solana’s Saga Phone could have been a success if others had failed

While the Saga isn’t the first crypto-centric smartphone, Solana’s Saga phone could be the most successful of its kind thanks to the number of developers working on the project, unlike its competitors. Apart from the Solana Saga phone, other important initiatives were Outline from htc, Finney’s phone by Sirin Labs or Samsung ClaytnPhone.

As Yakovenko said, “we live on our mobile devices,” so a phone with these features will open doors to the world of technology and innovation offered by Web3.
